About Alupro

The Aluminium Packaging Recycling Organisation (Alupro) represents the leading aluminium packaging producers and reprocessors in the UK.

Our membership comprises the full spectrum of the aluminium packaging 'loop' – from primary producer to packaging converter, from packer filler to reprocessor/exporter. As such, we are uniquely placed to represent the industry to policy makers and opinion formers in the UK and Europe.

Our role and mission

Alupro is working to meet the industry's obligation to meet, and exceed, recycling targets for aluminium packaging.

We are achieving this by working in partnership with local authorities, the waste management industry and the community recycling sector to develop and stimulate the UK's collection infrastructure. We also run consumer information and education campaigns to encourage participation in recycling schemes.

Learn about our projects

Alupro acts as the voice of the industry on issues of government policy and legislative development.

Our broad knowledge of the aluminium recycling sector and deep understanding of domestic and European policy issues means we are ideally placed to serve our members, and the wider recycling industry, and to offer advice and support on a range of issues.

Our history

Alupro was founded, and has been supported by the aluminium industry, for over 21 years

In 2010, Alupro celebrated 21 years of aluminium packaging recycling in the UK.
